Reflections

This is Bamburgh Castle in Northhumbria. Taken as the tide turned the is probably my favourite photograph of this castle. I have tried for 3 years to recreate this shot and failed, which only goes to show you need some luck in photography!

An office block in Nottinghamshire at sunset in June. This is actually 3 shots which have been stitched together to get the complete effect getting the reflections in the windows and the pond.

The is the pond outside an office block in Nottinghamshire. The big problem with this shot is the main road just beyond the pond. Timing was all to avoid the traffic as it went past and get the sense of calm and tranquility.

Seahouse harbour in Northumbria. I'm not very good at night photography and this is the best shot from about 90 minutes out on a cold damp night. The exposure is long enough that you will see slight movement from the sea without the whole shot being blurred.

The Great Northern Basin at Langley Mill. There are a number of bardges tied up ready for the winter here. This is a shot of some of them.

There are still swans around Eastwood (late October) so on one of my walks I spent rather too long photographing them. The first shot here has had some sever levels applied to bring out the reflection but I masked out the swan to retain detail.

I was walking in Shipley Country Park just before sunset when I spotted the reflection of the trees in the lake. Except for trimming off a little of the clutter from the right this is untouched.
